1. Introduction

Praisee Medical Career Institute ("Praisee Medical," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at www.praisemed.org (the "Site") and provides healthcare career training programs, including Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA/HHA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA), and CPR training.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, whom we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors to our Site, prospective students, enrolled students, graduates, and anyone who contacts us or subscribes to our communications.

By using the Site or enrolling in a program, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit information to us.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

Website inquiries and newsletter signup

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Any message content you submit through contact or inquiry forms

 

Course booking and account registration

  • Name, email address, phone number, mailing address

  • Login credentials if you create a member account on the Site

  • Course selection, scheduling preferences, and booking history

Enrollment and admissions. When you formally enroll in a training program, we collect additional information required to admit you, train you, and submit you for state certification:

  • Date of birth

  • Social Security number (required for state certification registry submission and criminal background screening)

  • Government-issued photo identification

  • Mailing address and emergency contact information

  • Educational history and proof of a high school diploma or equivalent, where required

  • Employment history, where relevant

  • Immigration or work authorization documentation, where required by state or federal law

Health and clinical eligibility records. State-approved nurse aide and home health aide training requires documentation before clinical placement. We may collect:

  • Immunization records

  • Tuberculosis (TB) screening results

  • Physical examination or fitness-for-duty documentation

  • Drug screening results, when required by a clinical site

  • COVID-19 or other vaccination records, where required by a clinical site

 

Criminal background information

  • Fingerprints and criminal history background check results, as required for state certification and clinical placement

 

Payment information

  • Billing name and address

  • Payment card or bank information, which is collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, our service providers and we automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location

  • Browser type, device type, and operating system

  • Pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and referring URL

  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7)

 

Our Site is built and hosted on the Wix platform. Wix collects certain analytics and technical data on our behalf as our service provider.

2.3 Information From Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Background check and fingerprinting vendors

  • State certification and licensing bodies

  • Clinical placement partners and employer partners

  • Referral sources, if you were referred to us by an employer, agency, or workforce program

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide information about our programs

  • Process enrollments, bookings, registrations, and payments

  • Verify your eligibility to enroll and to be placed in clinical training

  • Deliver instruction, track attendance, evaluate performance, and issue certificates of completion

  • Submit required student information to state certification registries and testing vendors

  • Conduct or arrange criminal background screening as required by law

  • Coordinate clinical placements with partner facilities

  • Communicate with you about class schedules, exams, results, and administrative matters

  • Send newsletters, program announcements, and promotional messages where you have subscribed or otherwise consented

  • Comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation, and recordkeeping obligations

  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Site and our records

  • Improve our programs, website, and services

 

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

 

4. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described below.

State agencies and certification bodies. We are required to submit student information to the New Jersey Department of Health, the New Jersey Board of Nursing, and/or their designated testing and registry vendors in order to make you eligible to sit for certification examinations and to be listed on the applicable state registry.

Background check and fingerprinting vendors. As required for certification and clinical placement.

Clinical placement partners. Facilities hosting your clinical training may require your name, immunization and TB records, background check clearance status, and identification prior to placement.

Service providers. We use third-party vendors to operate our business, including:

  • Wix.com Ltd. — website hosting, forms, scheduling, member accounts, and email marketing

  • Payment processors — to process tuition and fees

  • Email and communication providers

  • Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, SMS provider, student information systems

 

These providers are permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.

Employer and workforce partners. If your training is sponsored or paid for by an employer, staffing agency, or workforce development program, we may share enrollment status, attendance, and completion information with that sponsor. Where required, we will obtain your written authorization first.

 

Legal and safety disclosures. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request; to investigate suspected fraud or misconduct; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Praisee Medical, our students, or others.

Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

 

5. Sensitive Information

We treat Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial account information, health and immunization records, and criminal background information as sensitive. We collect this information only where necessary for enrollment, certification, or clinical placement. Access is limited to staff members who need it to perform their duties.

 

A note on health information: Praisee Medical is an educational training provider, not a healthcare provider or health plan. Health records we collect for training eligibility are education records, not protected health information under HIPAA. We nonetheless protect them with the safeguards described in Section 8.

 

6. Student Records

Student education records are maintained in accordance with applicable requirements of the New Jersey Department of Health and the New Jersey Board of Nursing for approved training programs.

You may request access to your own student records and correction of factual inaccuracies by contacting us using the details in Section 14.

 

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how the Site is used.

Types of cookies we use:

  • Essential cookies — required for the Site and member login to function

  • Analytics cookies — help us understand traffic and page performance

  • Marketing cookies — help us connect with the right students. 

 

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality, including booking and member login.

We [DO / DO NOT] currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

 

8. Data Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls, restricted physical file storage, and encrypted transmission of data submitted through the Site.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

 

9. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy and to satisfy legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.

  • Student and training records are retained for the period required by New Jersey Department of Health and Board of Nursing regulations for approved training programs.

  • Inquiry and marketing contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.

  • Financial and payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting law.

 

When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or destroy it.

 

10. Your Choices and Rights

Marketing communications. You may unsubscribe from our newsletters and promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, or by contacting us. You will still receive administrative messages related to your enrollment.

 

SMS/text messages. If you have consented to receive text messages, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply. 

Access and correction. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct inaccurate information.

 

Deletion. You may request deletion of your personal information. We may be unable to delete records we are legally required to retain, including student training and certification records.

State privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws such as the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or similar laws. These laws apply to businesses that meet specific size and data-volume thresholds. Whether or not those thresholds apply to us, we will honor reasonable requests to access, correct, or delete your information as described above.

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

 

11. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

Applicants under 18 may be required to provide consent from a parent or guardian to enroll.

 

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Site contains links to third-party websites and services, including our social media profiles and our booking and payment providers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

 

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on the Site or by email, where appropriate. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
