Accessibility Statement
Last Reviewed: 08/09/2026
1. Our Commitment
Praisee Medical Career Institute is committed to making www.praisemed.org usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Accessibility matters to us for both practical and legal reasons: many of the people we train go on to care for patients with vision, hearing, mobility, and cognitive impairments. We hold ourselves to the same standard we teach.
We are working to ensure that anyone can browse our programs, book a course, and contact us regardless of how they access the web.
2. Conformance Status
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Current status: partially conformant. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of this website do not yet fully meet the standard. We have identified the gaps listed in Section 4 and are actively working to close them.
We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit of this website.
Do not change "partially conformant" to "fully conformant" or "ADA compliant" unless a qualified auditor has tested the site and confirmed it. Overstating conformance is worse than admitting gaps — it creates a false statement that plaintiffs' attorneys use as evidence. An honest "we're working on it, here's how to reach us" statement is the safer and more defensible position.
3. Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we:
-
Build and maintain the site on the Wix platform, which provides built-in accessibility features, including keyboard navigation support and screen-reader compatibility
-
Provide alternative text for images that convey information
-
Use headings and page structure that assistive technology can navigate
-
Aim for sufficient color contrast between text and background
-
Ensure the site can be navigated using a keyboard alone
-
Design the site to be usable on mobile devices and at increased zoom levels
-
Review accessibility when we make significant changes to the site
4. Known Limitations
We want to be transparent about where we currently fall short. As of the date above, we are aware of the following issues and are working to resolve them:
-
Screen readers may announce a filename rather than a useful description. We are reviewing and correcting alternative text sitewide.
-
Older posts may contain formatting or images that do not meet current standards. We correct these as we identify them.
-
PDFs and forms may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
5. Compatibility
This website is designed to be compatible with recent versions of:
-
Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge browsers
-
Screen readers, including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
-
Operating system zoom, text resizing, and high-contrast settings
The site may not work reliably with browsers older than the two most recent major versions, or with assistive technology that is no longer supported by its manufacturer.
6. Assessment Approach
We assess the accessibility of this website through:
-
Self-evaluation by our staff
-
Automated accessibility checking tools
-
Feedback from visitors and students
7. Alternative Access
If any part of this website is not accessible to you, we will provide the information or service another way at no cost to you. We can:
-
Read website content to you over the phone
-
Email program details, schedules, and enrollment forms in an accessible format
-
Complete a booking or enrollment on your behalf
-
Arrange an in-person or telephone consultation at our Irvington campus
Just contact us using the details below and tell us what you need.
8. Accommodations for Students
Accessibility does not stop at our website. Praisee Medical Career Institute considers reasonable accommodation requests from students with disabilities for classroom instruction, skills labs, examinations, and clinical placement.
Students who need an accommodation should contact us as early as possible in the enrollment process so we have time to arrange it. Some accommodations may require documentation, and some clinical partners have their own requirements that we must coordinate with.
9. Feedback and Contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — it helps us fix it.
Praisee Medical Career Institute 20 Marshall Street, Store #4 Irvington, NJ 07111

We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within [3–5] business days.
Please include the page address, a description of the problem, and the browser and assistive technology you were using, if you know it.
10. Formal Complaints
If you contact us about an accessibility barrier and are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division, which enforces the Americans with Disabilities Act.
11. Legal Framework
This statement is provided in connection with our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination.
Title III of the ADA applies to private businesses that serve the public. It does not currently name a specific technical standard for websites, but courts and the Department of Justice consistently use WCAG Level AA as the benchmark for whether a website is reasonably accessible. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.
12. Updates to This Statement
We review this statement whenever we make significant changes to the website, and at least once per year. The "Last Reviewed" date at the top reflects our most recent review.
